A wooden world map is wall art built from laser-cut wood layers, so continents and countries sit at different depths and catch the light. Our maps are made of MDF, assembled and glued by hand, and come in natural wood tones or UV printed color palettes. Widths run from 100 cm to 300 cm, so there is a size for a hallway, a living room wall or an office.

What size wooden world map fits my wall?
If the map goes above furniture, pick a size a little narrower than the piece below it. Over a 200 cm sofa, for example, a 120 to 150 cm map looks balanced. For a large empty wall or an office, the 200 cm and wider sizes become the focal point of the room. Measure the free wall first and leave some open space on each side of the map.
How is a layered wooden world map made?
Each map is cut from MDF with a laser, so country borders and coastlines keep their fine detail. The parts are colored, either in wood tones or with UV print, and then glued together by hand in layers. On the UV printed design the layers add up to about 10 mm, which gives the raised, 3D look you see from the side.
Can I use it as a push pin travel map?
Yes. The push pin designs are made for marking the places you have visited and the trips you are planning. You can add map pins in different colors. If you want to pin a lot of places, a cork push pin map takes pins anywhere on its surface.
How do you hang a wooden world map?
Large maps arrive in pieces with corner templates and double-sided adhesive tape. You mark the top corners, apply the tape to the back of each piece and place the pieces one by one, following the instructions in the box. The three-panel designs have a metal bracket on the back of each panel and hang on nails. A clean, smooth and dry wall gives the best hold.
