How are wooden maps made?
We cut the parts from MDF or plywood with a laser, color them in wood tones or with UV print and glue them in layers by hand. A typical map has layers of about 5 mm each, adding up to 10 to 15 mm, which gives the raised 3D look.
Natural wood tones or UV printed colors?
Natural tones, such as dark brown, light brown and mixed wood, suit warm, classic rooms and offices. UV printed maps can carry flag colors, satellite views and names of regions and cities, and suit modern rooms that need a pop of color. Both are built in layers.
Frequently asked questions
How do you hang a wooden map?
Smaller maps hang with the double-sided tape in the box. Large world maps come in pieces with templates or as panels with brackets on the back. A clean, smooth and dry wall gives the best result.
Can I order a map that is not listed?
Yes. On the custom map page you can ask for any country, region, state or city, or several places together.
Can I return a wooden map?
Yes, within 30 days. When a map arrives damaged or you received the wrong one, return shipping is on us. See our refund policy.
